London Casino Goes After Saudi Arabian Sheik Over Unpaid $5.33M Debt
A well-heeled patron is allegedly refusing to repay a high-sngakes private casino in London a line of credit extended seven years ago A London casino is looking for GBP 4 million, or $5.33 million, from a Saudi Arabian after the latter failed to repay the line of credit extended to him. According to Les Ambassadeurs, Sheik Hassan Eneny, 82, has yet not made any attempts to cover his debt to the casino. Despite his dignified status at the casino, which he has been attending for decades, and became a member of in 1994, the sheik has failed to repay the credit that was originally extended to him in 2018. Fast forward seven years, and the account has not been settled. In fact, Les Ambassadeurs alleges that the property was paid for with a bad check, and the matter was never really ngaken any further. Despite its clientele, Les Ambassadeurs has had trouble getting some of the money back it offered as credit, not just in this particular case, but in others, too. The case against Eneny is due to continue in the High Court in London next month, with a former decision secured against the sheik in 2021, but the man has failed to repay the line of credit. Other similar cases that Les Ambassadeurs has had to underngake include the case against Su Yongbo, a Chinese businessman who owed the casino GBP 10 million ($13.3 million).
