Two Mohegan Sun players have scooped up huge prizes, winning a total of $1.3 millionover the weekend. The first of them was a Connecticut local who was enjoying a Whitney Houston-themed slot in the property’s Casino of the Sky.

As announced by Mohegan Sun, the player in question won the game’s $659,570.73Grand progressive jackpot.

Mohegan Sun celebrated the win, saying:

Blackjack Player Wins $669K Thanks to a Side Bet

In the meantime, another Connecticut player, this time in the Casino of the Earth, turned a small side bet into a mouth-watering jackpot. According to the announcement, the player in question was playing blackjack and had placed a $5 side bet.

Mohegan Sun said that the player’s side bet hit the Super 4 Royal Flush Progressive jackpot, netting them$669,412.

CT Lottery Player Claims $2.2M Jackpot Three Months After Winning

In other jackpot-related news, a CT Lottery player just claimed their $2.2 million prize three months after winning.

According to the CT Lottery’s original announcement, the winning ticket was sold at Mack’s Wine & Liquor on Hartford Road in Manchester several hours before the drawing. The store was awarded a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
